First Tunneling Roadheader delivery to Egypt

Deilmann-Haniel Mining Systems is proud to announce that it will be sending three complete roadheader systems for a tunneling project to Egypt. It will be the first big sale to Egypt and a further step in approaching the growing market of tunnel excavation using roadheading machines. Each system consists of a Roadheader dh R75t with fully enclosed and air conditioned operator cabin, one dust scrubber system, a shotcrete system with manipulator and a Diesel Generator set to run all equipment independently from any available power source.

In August a delegation from the Ministry of Defense of the Arab Republic of Egypt visited our premises to carry out factory commissioning of the first two roadheaders dh R75t, which could be completed successfully in time and on schedule.

Increasing our business into tunnelling and infrastructure projects is within the company’s strategy to become a widely known supplier for equipment that can be successfully utilized outside our core profession such as roadway development in underground mining.

During the last couple of weeks we could also welcome two service technicians of our exclusive sales and service partner, OTRAC Heavy Equipment, who will take care of the roadheaders locally when they’ve been handed over to the customer after on-site commissioning by our own service team.

A follow up order for two 130 tonne roadheaders dh R130t could also be signed with the customer one month ago. Scheduled delivery for those even bigger machines will be September 2017.
